Energy XXI has again expanded its offices at One City Centre, now taking 28 percent of the 29-story building at 1021 Main in downtown Houston.
The oil and gas exploration and production company has expanded by 43,332 square feet and renewed its lease for a total of 171,016 square feet in the 608,660-square-foot building, commercial real estate firm Transwestern announced. The building is owned by Beacon Investment Properties.
Energy XXI has been a tenant in the building since 2005, when the company was founded by John D. Schiller Jr. The company recently announced a merger with EPL Oil & Gas in a deal that would make it the largest publicly traded independent oil producer in the shallow waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
