Barefoot holds a master of accountancy with distinction and a concentration in finance from DePaul University and an undergraduate degree in business accountancy from Miami University.

In addition, Gaines will move up from his current role as managing director of capital markets debt, to managing director of asset management. In his new role, Gaines will oversee the asset management team and the investment strategy of the company’s $3 billion portfolio. Gaines has previously held executive-level positions at Argus Realty Investors, Equitable Real Estate and GE Capital.

Rowsey will work with property management and finance to streamline and simplify budgeting and reporting in her new role as director of asset management and special projects. Rowsey previously served as asset manager, overseeing multiple markets in Accesso’s portfolios in Dallas, Denver, Philadelphia and parts of Houston since 2014. She will continue with her asset-management responsibilities in Dallas and Houston, in addition to her new responsibilities.
