The IDS Center has received another extension on its loan, this time for 12 months, according to its owner.

Accessso, which has owned the building since 2013, has seen 110,000 square feet in new leases since January, according to a news release. Among these leases are a 25,500-square-foot lease for Associated Bank and a 22,100-square-foot lease for Husch Blackwell LLP.

“The loan extension is a testament to our recent leasing success and will enable us to solidify long-term financing as we continue to invest in building and provide top-tier management services for our tenants,” Accesso‘s Chief Asset Officer Deb Kolar said in the release. “We look forward to continuing to foster our many tenant relationships at IDS for years to come, while welcoming new companies seeking dynamic office space at the heart of this great community.”

The extension for IDS Center, which is the tallest building in the city, comes as Minneapolis’ central business district continues to slog through a prolonged elevated vacancy caused by the pandemic. According to a report from CBRE, Minneapolis’ CBD has a vacancy rate of 28.4% for its 22.64 million square feet of net rentable area.
